Meet Amanda Debek

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Debek and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always wanted to own my own “pink cafe” and this is surly the most instagrammable pink cafe in Ann Arbor!! Mission accomplished!! It was a long process as this project took us a year and a half to complete, but grateful for all we’ve been through to get here
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So my whole life, I’ve always been a stay at home mom and a I want to say mini entrepreneur working from home with event planning so we can Saying this say this is always been a passion of mine. They correlate with one another. It’s all about design.. I also have a passion of working with people I love making people happy and I have strong communication skills. I’m just very social. It’s just who I am.! It was not easy to get where I am today. It took a lot of hard work and dedication. I set goals and made them my reality. My husband and I overcame a lot of obstacles Throughout this process, but like I mentioned before we kept our faith and God strong and decided that he would pave our path so we were always just patient and keep faith. What I would want the world to know about me, my story is that I have a love and passion for working with people and providing them with things like desserts that make them happy. It’s the simple things in life make us all happy. I was drawn to the brand because of It’s uniqueness and not being something basic that you see every day and the way that we decorate each Creation was also A huge factor because it’s an aesthetic. I knew that I would decorate my café all pink and I designed the photo area with a custom-made swing to offer something unseen!
Every corner of our shop as a photo op and it makes me happy seeing our guests enjoy the decor and our desserts. Our guests not only come in for desserts, but a wonderful experience and unforgettable vibe!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So I haven’t been in Ann Arbor for long so I’m not too familiar with what’s around, but I would definitely take them to TAQ on liberty st. for some delicious tacos and pico/street corn, a nice stroll down Main Street and There’s a place called Revel and roll like arcades and bowling That Up my alley for a date night or fun with friends. Also my neighbor Laura has the cutest bouquet called “Ferne boutique” we’ll go on a mini shopping trip there as well .
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Most importantly I’m grateful that god has guided us and blessed us on our journey for without gods blessings and guidance we wouldn’t be successful! Our prayer have been answered! Then of course my husband Michael, he is my backbone, my number one supporter. Without my husband none of this would be possible. Michael has always supported everything that makes me happy and he works so hard to always give me and our kids all we desire and we’re forever grateful for him!
