We had the good fortune of connecting with Perfect Strangers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Perfect, what do you attribute your success to?
Community! We really believe the supporters, friends, fans, family, so on and so forth, are the strongest backbone a band can have. It can be tough to go out there and play for an empty room. It can be tough to get people interested. Having a supportive community makes more people want to be involved.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We’re an alternative rock band, but, that has a lot of depth. We are inspired by bands like RHCP, Alice In Chains, White Stripes, Coheed and Cambria, so on. Thus, our sound bounces around a lot. We can get funky, or we can get dark. Our music shows a lot of that versatility, specially the upcoming tracks.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Visiting metro Detroit…. Gotta hit some live shows. Check out the Sanctuary in Hamtramck, Ziggy’s in Ypsi, Token in Westland. Hit the Eagle for the best friend chicken sandwich in Detroit, and grab some local attire from Detroit’s Not Dead.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to all of the kind, supportive, and helpful faces we’ve meet in our short yet impactful music journey. Our supporters make every show something worth looking forward too, and I’m always so impressed with how welcoming they are at every show we play.
